Carbon Reduction Policy Statement

2nd January, 2026

Fusion Furniture commits to delivering year-on-year reductions in carbon emissions arising directly from the performance of our contracts, measured in metric tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO₂e), against an agreed baseline established at contract commencement.

Commitment:

Fusion commits to a minimum annual reduction of 5–8% in operational carbon emissions.

Key carbon reduction measures contributing to this reduction include:

  • The entire process involved with making our own furniture is within just a 60-mile radius of Greater Manchester, so is significantly more environmentally friendly than other supply options, often with product provenance from around the globe. So, Fusion will continue to expand our own furniture lines, to further build on our current sustainability agenda to reduce our CO₂ emissions.
  • Optimisation of service delivery routes, scheduling, and logistics to reduce fuel consumption and travel emissions. Including improving our back-filling operations, whereby we send our empty vans after completing furniture/flooring/WT job to collect materials from our suppliers before heading back to our warehouse.
  • Transition to lower-emission vehicles where operationally feasible.
  • Increased use of remote service delivery, digital reporting, and paperless processes to reduce travel and resource use.
  • Procurement of energy-efficient equipment and materials with lower embodied carbon.
  • Staff engagement initiatives, including eco-driving training and carbon awareness programmes.
